Running round-up, December 2017!

There’s been no news for a while so you might think it had been a quiet autumn but you’d be wrong!  Human Energy runners have been to (among others) Weymouth, Upton and Yeovil Park runs, the National Trust regular 10k runs at Studland, Lulworth Castle 10k, Great Dark Valley 10k, Weymouth 10 miler, Black Hill Run, Bournemouth Marathon Festival and the Winchester Half.  We’ve also been out running in Wool and on the Sika Trail at Wareham.   But none of us got a London Marathon place (again!)

For anyone thinking of joining us for a run, however, we’re not all at races getting PBs!

Some of us are ‘resting’, have had PWs (personal worsts!) or injuries – and some have family or job commitments which interfere with running for a while.  Some of us manage occasional runs with the group – but can’t commit regularly.  Sometimes we run on our own instead, or with our kids – or our dogs.  Some of us like medals – some of us prefer cake!

It’s great to know there are friendly people to run with when you can. Roll on 2018!

Running; not running; thinking about running again – it’s all good!
